BLM has over 16 million acres of land resposibility in Oregon. Half of Oregon is federal land. BLM has 32% of that to manage/administer. In Washington BLM has around 350,000 acres in the entire state. Not very much! Most of that acreage is in the general Spokane area.
Nevada is 87% BLM land, lots of rocks!
There is no BLM land east of the Mississippi. Only in the 11 western states Washington, Oregon, California, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, Montana, Idaho, Nevada and Alaska.
